Lovi Poe is saddened by the passing of her Tita Susan
Kapamilya actress Lovi Poe shared a heartfelt post following the death of Queen of Philippine Movies Susan Roces.
Lovi is the daughter of the late Fernando Poe, Jr. with former actress Rowena Moran. Growing up, Lovi has a close relationship with Senator Grace Poe, FPJ’s daughter with Susan.
The actress said that her Ate Grace has become like a father figure to her because of the guidance that she gets from her older sister. Lovi is also thankful for the support that she gets from her Tita Susan over the years.
“I feel grateful to Ate Grace, and also to Tita Susan, for being so supportive and amazing this whole time,” Lovi said in a previous interview.
On May 20, the entertainment industry bid goodbye to another pillar, and several celebrities expressed grief on social media after Sen. Poe confirmed that her mother has passed away.
In the Instagram post of Lovi Poe on May 21, she paid tribute to the veteran actress and showbiz has lost a valuable member. The Kapamilya actress also expressed support for her Ate Grace and her family amid this difficult time.
“I write this post with a heavy heart. We’ve truly lost a gem and one of the beloved pillars in the industry. My love and prayers to Ate Grace and the whole family (heart and person with folded hands emojis),” Lovi wrote. This post of the actress received a comment from the son of the Senator.
“Thank you (person with folded hands emoji) I’m sure Mama Susan would’ve appreciated your kind words,” Brian Poe Llamanzares said. Several netizens also expressed condolences to the bereaved family.
