Unidentified Suspect Caught on Camera Shooting Woman at Convenience Store in Makati City
SHOOTING INCIDENT – An unidentified suspect shoots a lady customer buying siopao at a convenience store in Makati City.
A lady customer entered a convenience store in Makati City to buy a ‘siopao’ or steamed bun. An unidentified man who seems to be following the woman pulled out the gun and shoots the victim a couple of times.
The gunman immediately runs away after the incident. The CCTV camera installed inside the convenience store captured the entire incident.
Makati PNP Chief P/Maj Christopher Obrial reported that one of the crew followed the gunman outside and saw the suspect escape with the help of a motorcycle rider. The victim has been rushed to the hospital and currently recuperating.
According to the police investigation, the victim and her 9-year-old child left Misamis Oriental to visit her former American husband at the hospital in Makati City. The ex-husband hired a driver to fetch the victim.
The driver was able to pick them up but instructed the victim to buy a ‘siopao’ and juice inside the convenience store after his blood sugar dropped. The woman asked the crews to assist her and the suspect performed the crime.
“Ang biktima kahit sa sarili niya nagulat siya dahil bago siya sa Maynila wala siyang idea, so napilitan siyang bumili. Kung mapapansin po natin yung babae nagpa-assist pa sa mga crew at hindi siya maalam,” Obrial said.
The police authorities have a person of interest regarding the incident. The cops will also investigate the victim’s ex-husband and driver.
