2-Year-Old Girl Passes Away After Punched by Step Father
CHILD ABUSE – A 2-year-old girl passed away after she was mauled by her stepfather in Bauan, La Union.
A man named Mark Bingco expressed his grief after his two-year-old daughter passed away after suffering abuse from the hands of her stepfather. Mark is already separated from the kid’s mother.
Mark was given a chance to see his beloved daughter after two years but he was not expecting that their reunion will be at the funeral. The girl’s relatives have expressed their frustrations against the suspect.
“Pinagmamalaki niya pa nga yung ginawa niya, parang hindi naman po pwede na ang say-saya ng mga taong iyon tapos nagdudusa kami dito,” Bingco said.
According to the relatives, the suspect is a loving man and treats the kid as his own daughter. The victim’s relatives got shocked after learning about the incident.
The suspect claimed that the kid falls and suffered serious injuries. The victim has been rushed to the hospital but eventually passed away. However, the police authorities doubt the suspect’s explanation.
The authorities conduct an autopsy on the victim’s body. Eventually, the suspect admitted to punching the girl’s stomach for being noisy. The victim’s father wanted to file charges against the suspect.
The Supreme Court has already ordered a preliminary investigation regarding the case.
