Sen. Manny Pacquiao Speaks on INC Endorsement of Marcos-Duterte Tandem

MANNY PACQUIAO – The PROMDI standard-bearer spoke on the Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) endorsement of former Senator Bongbong Marcos and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio.

Recently, Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) which has over 2 million members announced its support for the presidential bid of former Sen. Bongbong Marcos and the vice-presidential candidacy of presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio.

Marcos Jr. is running under Partido Federal ng Pilipinas while Duterte-Carpio is the vice-presidential bet of Lakas-CMD. Several huge political parties announced their support for the tandem who are both frontrunners in the results of the final survey conducted by Pulse Asia in April.

Marcos Jr. previously expressed his gratitude for the endorsement of INC of his and Duterte-Carpio’s bids in the upcoming election. He tagged it as an honor that comes along with the challenge to their capacities to unite the Filipino people.

It is no secret to the public that Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) practices bloc voting based on the endorsement of their leader. In 2016, there was an estimate of 1.7 million INC voters as per pollster Mahar Mangahas.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, presidential candidate and incumbent Sen. Manny Pacquiao respect the endorsement of INC of former Sen. Bongbong Marcos and Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte-Carpio. He stressed that he and his team are focusing on-ground campaigns.

According to the PROMDI standard-bearer, he is personally talking to the people telling them what he wants for the Filipinos. He stressed that he can see the reactions of the people to what he wants to happen and he is happy about their reactions.

Recently, Sen. Pacquiao moved up to 3rd place in the results of the survey conducted by Pulse Asia. Meanwhile, despite the good indication, the boxer-turned-Senator is not complacent until the election finally comes.

“Salamat pero ang tunay na survey, sa ground, ‘yong reaksyon ng taong bayan, yung reaksyon ng mga mahihirap ‘pag bumababa si Manny Pacquiao sa crowd,” he expressed.
