Jodi Sta Maria talked about her popular line
Kapamilya actress Jodi Sta Maria reacted to the popularity of her line in the series The Broken Marriage Vow which has prompted netizens to create memes.
Jodi has proven her worth as an actress. Her performances have garnered admiration from many avid viewers, especially her current teleserye with Zanjoe Marudo and Sue Ramirez.
Previously, Jodi expressed amusement to social media personality AC Soriano who impersonated her various roles in TV series then and now. That video went viral as the social media personality did a remix of her line “Your daughter is sleeping with my husband.”
People have been using her line “Papunta pa lang tayo sa exciting part” which has been featured in several memes. This is even being used in political campaigns. Based on the article in Inquirer, Jodi Sta Maria acknowledges the popularity of the said line but she is not taking the credit.
She said that this should be attributed to the writers of the series because she just deliver what her character needed to say.
“I would say it’s fun. Who would think that a simple line like that would go viral? I guess I have to give the credit to the show’s writers. They thought of that line, I was just the actor who delivered it. It’s really theirs,” Jodi said.
The character of Jodi, Jill, said those words when she decided to have her revenge against her husband David, played by Zanjoe, who is having an affair with Lexi, the character played by Sue.
Jodi Sta Maria also said that she is aware of the popularity of their soap and the good feedback that it has been receiving. She said that it was never their intention to copy the original version which was the British series Doctor Foster. They intended to feature a story that Pinoys could relate to without veering away so much from the original series.
