NAIA Authorities Arrest Nigerian Pastor Over Possession of Illegal Drugs
The authorities arrested a Nigerian pastor identified as Christian Ubatuegwu at the NAIA for possessing illegal drugs.
The Nigerian national who introduced himself as a Church pastor in Las Piñas has been nabbed by NAIA Inter-Agency Drug Interdiction Task Group for possessing illegal drugs. The authorities detected a suspicious parcel at NAIA.
NAIA-IADITG Deputy Task Group Commander IA3 Gerald Javier noticed a suspicious image from the parcel. The examiner discovered foils and a white crystal substance inside the parcel and immediately subjected it to a field test.
Javier confirmed that the parcel contains illegal drugs weighing 588 grams worth P4 million. The airport officials searched for the receiver written on the parcel and booked a delivery rider to send the package.
The transaction happened outside the Church of the Nigerian pastor. A lady identified as ‘White Butterfly’ received the parcel and explained that the pastor’s girlfriend instructed her to receive the package.
White butterfly explained that she doesn’t have an idea regarding the parcel’s content. She is currently struggling with her current situation.
The cops will still investigate to find if Ubatuegwu is among the Western syndicate. The officials will also investigate White butterfly to determine if she is innocent or not. Christian’s girlfriend is currently at large.
