MONSOUR DEL ROSARIO’S PLATFORMS – Here are the accomplishments of actor-politician Monsour del Rosario and his plans if he wins the May 2022 Senatorial Election.

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) has released the names of the candidates whose names remain on the official ballot for the upcoming May 2022 Elections. Some of them are prominent individuals in multiple fields like actor-politician and former athlete Monsour del Rosario.

Personal Background:

Manuel Monsour Tabib del Rosario III was born on May 11, 1965 in Manila. He is a graduate of B.A. in Applied Humanities and Communication Arts at De La Salle University in Manila. He is an actor, politician, taekwondo champion, and a former Olympian. He is married to Mary Joy Zapanta and he is currently residing in Makati City.

Most of the work experiences of Monsour are in sports. He has served several notable positions in different sports organizations like the Philippine Taekwondo Association and the Martial Arts Combat Sports Council of the Philippines. In politics, he served as the councilor of the 1st District of Makati City from 2010 to 2013 and 2013 to 2016.

Accomplishments:

Monsour del Rosario has served as a councilor of the 1st District of Makati City. As a lawmaker in the House of Representatives, he has authored 30 bills and one of which, the Telecommuting Act in 2018, was passed into law. In the private sector, he is the founding chairman of the Martial Arts Combat Sports Council of the Philippines. He is also the president or secretary-general of the Philippine Taekwondo Association.
