House Maid Serving as Drug Runner for Suppliers Arrested in Quezon City
A female housemaid has been arrested after taking a sideline as a drug runner in Quezon City to earn extra money.
Over the previous decades, illegal drugs have been one of the major problems not only in the Philippines but also in various countries all around the world. Drugs do not only affect the consumer’s health but also contribute to rising cases of criminality in the country.
Recently, a woman working as a housemaid has been arrested during a buy-bust operation in Quezon City. The house helper just wanted to earn an additional P500 through selling illegal drugs but she got nabbed.
According to the information received by Holy Spirit Police Station, the lady drug suspect identified as alias “Mary” has been working as a drug runner of some suppliers for quite a long time.
The police authorities arrest alias Mary together with her fellow house helper and a certain guy who is working as a construction employee. A grandma who has been jailed due to illegal drugs has been also arrested during the operation However, the senior citizen denied that she is selling illegal drugs.
“Ako lang taga-takbo, tagakuha pero hindi ako nagmamarket,” Mary said.
Mary’s colleagues denied that they were selling illegal drugs but admitted that they were using once in a while. The authorities seized P68, 000 worth of illegal drugs. The suspects will face charges for violation of the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
