Ria Atayde speaks about rumors linking her to Joshua Garcia
Kapamilya actress Ria Atayde stressed that she and actor Joshua Garcia are better off as friends due to this reason.
Rumors linking Ria and Joshua have been circulating in showbiz circle for quite a while now. One of the reasons behind the speculations was their sweet social media posts. Showbiz fans are also pairing them because in their circle of friends, others already have their partners.
Last year, Ria has already stressed the real score between her and Joshua. She said that they are friends and she is having a great time whenever she and Joshua, along with their other friends bond together.
In a recent interview, based on the YouTube video by Kiko Escuadro, the actress once again asserted that there is nothing romantic going on between her and Joshua Garcia. “We just laugh about this, at this point,” Ria Atayde said when asked what she feels being linked to the actor.
The actress also said that Joshua is a dear friend to her and she is happy that they are comfortable with one another. Amid the rumors linking them, Ria said, “Mas narere-assure ako sa lalim ng friendship namin for us to be able to withstand all the rumors.”
She added that whatever rumor will be thrown at them, she is at ease that they can be friends forever. When asked if there was no physical attraction between them, the actress answered, “Josh is an attractive guy. He is just younger and for me, it is such a…alam mo ‘yon.”
Ria Atayde also pointed out that she is already 30 years old and Joshua Garcia is just turning 25. Showbiz reporters insisted that there comments from fans saying that she and Joshua look good together and the actress jokingly answered with a sound like she was humming.
With a serious tone she said, “Some people are better off as friends.” For her, this is a security that a certain person will not be out of her life. “So, that’s it na lang din, we are better off as friends,” the actress said.
