Barangay Ginebra star Scottie Thompson got engaged with Pau Fajardo new year of 2021 but in the same year, just four months after the proposal, the wedding was called off. The basketball star then married a flight stewardess a couple of months after that and this shocked many people.

They have been together for eight years before they got engaged and seeing Scottie marrying another woman was an odd view to many people. Many of their real-life tandem supporters got heartbroken over their unexpected split.

And in a previous article, during the height of the issue, Fajardo only spoke once about it and said that to say what happened was “heartbreaking is an understatement”. Her official statement put a stop to the rumors and falls stories about them circulating online but this did not stop many people from criticizing the basketball star.

Now, a year after their painful split, Pau revealed that she was indeed deeply hurt by what happened to them and up until this day, she is still in the process of moving on from it. She did not give any direct answer about forgiving her former fiance but she’s waiting for the right time. She said that what happened to them was not easy.

Meanwhile, during that low point of her life, what she had beside her and the people who rescued her family. She was able to run to them and they helped her a lot to stand up again. And her takeaways from those heartbreaking events are the lessons she learned.

She said according to a report from PEP, “I’ve learned na aside from loving that person, you have to love yourself talaga. Mas mag-invest ka sa sarili mo rather than investing to other people. Hindii mo alam kung nandiyan pa rin yung talagang inalalayan mo.”

It is also her personal and willing choice not to accept suitors for now.
