Miss Universe Philippines Shares Glimpse of “La Mer en Majesté” Crown
LA MER EN MAJESTÉ – The Miss Universe Philippines organization shared a glimpse of the “La Mer en Majesté” c.rown
The coronation night of the Miss Universe Philippines 2022 will be on April 30 at the Mall of Asia Arena. The third edition of the pageant sees 32 delegates vying for the crows, with Cebuana beauty queen Beatrice Luigi Gomez crowning her successor.
Former Miss Universe titleholders Demi-Leigh Tebow (2017, Iris Mittenaere (2016), and Pia Wurtzbach (2015) will serve as hosts at the coronation night. The reigning Miss Universe 2021 queen, Harnaaz Sandhu, will also make a special appearance at the pageant finals.
MUPH preliminary competition is set for April 27 at the Cove Manila. Pinoy pageant fans can watch the show as it streams live, for free starting at 7 PM on iWantTFC, ABS-CBN Entertainment Youtube Channel, and The Filipino Channel.

On Tuesday, the new crown was presented at the MUPH gala night at Hilton Manila, Pasay City. The event was live-streamed on the Empire Philippines YouTube channel.
The beautiful crown is called “La Mer En Majeste” or the sea majesty. It was created in partnership with the international luxury jewelry brand, Jewelmer.
Miss Universe Philippines 2021 Bea Gomez and MUPH national director Shamcey Supsup-Lee led the crown’s unveiling during the gala.
It highlights the Philippines’ national gem, the golden South Sea pearl. MUPH said the crown is “a radiant symbol of the harmonious relationship between man and nature, capturing the very spirit of the Filipinos.”
The MUPH candidates who topped the interview challenge are Vanessa Ann Caro of Iloilo Province, Jeanne Nicci Orcena of Davao del Norte, Julia Saubier of Albay, and Aidyl Mhay Sanchez of Guiguinto, Bulacan.
The MUPH previously announced the winners for its other challenges: Baguio’s Ghenesis Latugat (fashion and runway), Mandaue City’s Isabel Luche (headshot), Bohol’s Pauline Amelincx (introduction), and Taguig City’s Ma. Katrina Llegado (swimsuit).
