Among the most popular personalities in the country is Catriona Gray whose popularity retained even after her reign as a Miss Universe queen. Being the new standard of becoming a beauty queen and for setting the bar higher for that matter, her words and opinions are surely and will always be powerful and heard.
And now, as the May 2022 polls are set to happen 20 days from now, the beauty queen asserts her opinion about who people would have to choose as the next leader of the country. Her name trended the moment she released a teaser of her vlog.
It can be recalled that the next leader’s capacity to lead should not depend on the gender but on character and skills. Echoing the same stand, she encouraged people to vote for someone who they think is deserving of their vote and not because of factors like an endorsement from their favorite celebrities.
Before she dropped her video, many people already believed that her stand and preference for the PH presidency will surely make a great impact as many looked up to her. And now, finally speaking up, she chooses to cast her vote on Kiko Pangilinan as her Vice President and Leni Robredo as her president.
It took her a while to express her stand because she doesn’t want to say it without a solid explanation and without the knowledge to educate the people as to why she would be voting for that person as the next leader of the country.
She said, “It’s my hope that who I am voting for, after doing my own research and looking at those five qualities that whether you agree or disagree with my stance, it will serve as an invitation to learn more for yourselves. And to hopefully further develop any stances that you may already have.”
