Katrina Velarde reacts to 1000 netizens who unfollowed her
Singer Katrina Velarde, known as the “Suklay Diva,” is set to perform in UniTeam rally in Cebu and because of this, she was unfollowed by 1000 netizens.
Celebrities and performers joining campaign rallies is not a new thing in the political arena. Some are paid while some voluntarily render their time and effort for the candidates that they are supporting.
However, things can be nasty at times. It is a known fact the celebrities and performers in a certain will get bashing from supporters of the other camp. In the case of Katrina Velarde, the number of her followers decreased.
On her social media account, the biritera singer shared that she will be performing in UniTeam campaign rally in Citi De Madre, Filinvest Ground, Sap Coastal Road in Cebu City on Monday, Abril 18, 2022.
Based on the article in Balita, because of this announcement from Katrina, she received negative reactions from the supporters of the other camp.
With this, Katrina showed appreciation to those who rallied behind her. “I appreciate you mga mi. Thank you,” she wrote.
In the comment section, the singer revealed that she lost a thousand followers. However, she said that this will not have a negative effect on her. Katrina also said that she respects those who chose to unfollow her because of her political views.
“I already lost 1000 followers. But I am not taking it personally. Still, I respect you. And I appreciate those who respect me too Thank you. Spread love…,” Katrina Velarde said.
