MJ Lastimosa shared the lessons she got from pageantry

Miss Universe Philippines 2014 MJ Lastimosa revealed the pageants lessons that she learned that she is carrying now in her showbiz career.

Doing pageants was good training for MJ. Eventually, the good things she acquired from that experience have become useful to the current path that she is taking. Based on the article in Inquirer, MJ said that she learned to be independent in pageantry.

After their training, basically, they are on their own. They do their own makeup and other stuff. Amid the pandemic, MJ Lastimosa said that this skill has been very useful to her. “I don’t just appear … then act or host. I take care of all the things I need. I’m already used to it,” she shared.

MJ also highlighted the traits of being resilient and patient. “You have to work hard. The training takes a lot of time. You have to hold on to the things you want to achieve. And I think the same things apply to hosting or acting. You have to have a lot of patience and remain focused for the desired outcome,” the Eat Bulaga host said.

Meanwhile, MJ is ready to indulge in acting again through the romantic comedy Take Me to Banaue which is produced by Carpe Diem Pictures and directed by Manny Aguilar. Her role in this project is an escort and upon learning about this, MJ Lastimosa said that she really got interested knowing that there is a story behind every character.

She also expressed gratitude to have the chance to collaborate with other artists, directors, and writers on this project. MJ asked how she would portray her role and she was able to get support from them.
