City in Duterte’s Home Region Turns Pink during Robredo’s Campaign Rally

Vice Pres. Robredo’s Campaign Rally Turns Tagum City Pink

ROBREDO’S CAMPAIGN RALLY – Tagum City in Davao del Norte, the home region of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, turned pink during the campaign of Vice President Leni Robredo.

Both local and national candidates now are busy with left and right campaign events. They are in the pursuit to reach as many areas as they can before the campaign period is over. Caravans, motorcades, and grand rallies are happening.

Currently, the employees and officials of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) are busy preparing for the upcoming poll. Comelec recently approved the giving of a 1-month bonus for its regular employees, suspension of the biometrics, and the augmentation of the communication and transportation expenses of the officers.

Less than two (2) months before the May 2022 Elections, most national election candidates are on double-time campaigning. Most of them are into visiting even the areas considered as the bailiwick of the other parties or contenders.

The campaign rally came after former House Speaker and Davao del Norte Representative Pantaleon Alvarez expressed a shift of support from backing the presidential bid of Senator Ping Lacson to supporting Vice Pres. Robredo’s candidacy. According to the former House Speaker, the survey results and the Vice President embodying the pursuit for reform in the government and the desire to give the Filipinos a better future are the reasons behind the shift of support.

Despite the heavy rain, the Davaoeños waited for the Vice President’s arrival and speech. Several officials in Davao del Norte including Governor Edwin Jubahib expressed support to the VP’s bid.
