Trina Candaza contradicted this ABS-CBN headline

Model-vlogger Trina Candaza reacted to the headline of ABS-CBN regarding her breakup with actor Carlo Aquino.

In a recent media conference for his new series How To Move On in 30 Days, Carlo finally spoke about his breakup with Trina. He confirmed that their relationship ended this year and they are now in a co-parenting set up for their daughter Enola Mithi.

This showbiz news was shared on the official Facebook Page of ABS-CBN News on April 3 with this headline: “Carlo Aquino nakipaghiwalay na kay Trina Candaza.”

Trina slammed the headline. “ABS-CBN News paki ayos po headline,” Carlo’s ex-girlfriend wrote. In another comment, the model-vlogger said that Carlo did not say that he was the one who initiated the breakup.

“Parang wala naman po kasi sinabi si carlo na siya ang nakipag hiwalay, sa pag kaka alala ko po parang baligtad,” Trina said. Netizens have different reactions to this “correction” coming from the former girlfriend of Carlo.

There were netizens who also slammed the headline while there were those who took the other side. One netizen even explained the term that ABS-CBN used. “Nakipaghiwalay” does not necessarily mean na si Carlo ang nakipaghiwalay…. With the unlapi “nakipag”, means that the action was made not by him alone but with someone else and that is you!” a netizen said.

However, another netizen reasoned out that Carlo was the first subject after the word “nakipaghiwalay” and so it meant that he was the one who initiated the breakup. “Dapat po ba naghiwalay na sina carlo at trina? Kasi kung “nakipag” tapos si Carlo ang unang subject it means si carlo tinutukoy dun,” the netizen who took the side of Trina Candaza said.
