KUYA KIM – Here’s Kuya Kim Atienza and Karen Davila’s reaction to ABS-CBN and GMA-7’s partnership.
On April 5, “TV Patrol” and “24 Oras” reported that the Kapuso network hosted a historic contract signing with ABS-CBN to license some of Star Cinema’s well-loved movies.
Some of the popular Star Cinema movies that will air on the Kapuso network include “How to Be Yours,” “No Other Woman,” “Alone/Together,” “Till My Heartaches End,” “Ang Cute ng Ina Mo!,” “Ang Babae sa Septic Tank,” “It Takes a Man and a Woman,” “Fantastica,” “Can We Still Be Friends?,” “Just The Way You Are,” “Finally Found Someone,” “Won’t Last A Day Without You,” “Must Be…Love,” “The Panti Sisters,” “Isa Pa With Feelings,” “Kay Tagal Kang Hinintay,” “Feng Shui,” “Suddenly It’s Magic,” “James & Pat & Dave,” and “I Love You, Hater.”
The announcement of the two media giants got a lot of people excited. Kapamilya broadcaster Karen Davila and former Kapamilya weatherman expressed their happiness over the new deal.
Davila reacted to the news during a recent episode of TV patrol. She said this partnership between GMA and ABS-CBN signals a new era for Philippine television.
“Wow, talaga namang it’s a new era, di ba? Congratulations sa ating dalawa,” she said.

Renowned TV personality Kuya Kim also reacted to it saying that the force field has been broken and that’s just the beginning of ABS-CBN and GMA network’s partnership.
“The force field is broken! GMA X ABS-CBN! The beginning of many beautiful things to come! The Lord works in mysterious ways,” he posted on IG.
The 55-year-old celebrity left the Kapamilya network last year. Despite his departure from the media giant, he and ABS-CBN remained on good terms.
