Kakampink Truefaith vocalist has this revelation
Medwin Marfil, a Kakampink Truefaith vocalist, said that the camp of presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos has offered their band four times to perform in UniTeam’s campaign events.
Truefaith is one of the groups that expressed support for the presidential candidacy of Vice President Leni Robredo. Based on the article in Balita, Medwin did not buy the recent statement of comedian Eric Nicolas who said that he did not get a payment for his performance at UniTeam’s rally.
Previously, Eric shared a post saying that it was “trabaho lang.” “Walang masamang tinapay para sa akin… trabaho po para mapakain ang pamilya ko. Minsan lang ‘to at ‘di na ako bumabata. Mabuhay ang lahat,” he said in a now-deleted Facebook post.
For the Kakampink Truefaith vocalist, this is “not believable.” Then, Medwin revealed that even though their band has already declared their support for VP Leni, offers to join the UniTeam rally came.
“Kahit na nag-declare na kami na #KakamPink ang #Truefaith we’re still being offered to play sa for Baby M,” he said. The band vocalist also shared that when they were in Borongan, Samar, their manager received a call asking if they could perform in UniTeam’s rally.
“Pang 4 na ata na offer yun. We refused, of course,” the frontman of Truefaith said. Medwin also stressed, “May bayad powh.”
Supporters of VP Leni commended the Kakampink Truefaith vocalist for standing on what he believes. In a reply to a fellow Kakampink, Medwin said that even back in 2016, they also received an offer to perform in a certain presidential candidate’s rally. However, he said that they turned it down despite they were offered a generous sum.
Medwin said that they refused to accept that offer because they were supporting the Mar Roxas-Leni Robredo tandem back then.
