Netizens Slam Pickup Truck Driver for Hitting Ambulance Carrying Pregnant Woman
A pickup truck accidentally hits an ambulance carrying a pregnant woman who is about to give birth to her child.
Ambulance is one of the most prioritized vehicles on the road as it transport patients from various locations heading to the nearest hospital or medical center for immediate medical attention.
It has flashing warning lights and sirens to indicate that a patient needs to be brought in the nearest hospital as soon as possible. This vehicle saves numerous lives, so it deserves to be given priority in the street.
In Calasiao, Pangasinan, an ambulance carrying a pregnant woman who is about to give birth encountered a delay before reaching the hospital due to a vehicular accident. A pickup truck accidentally hits the ambulance.
The ambulance is about to cross an intersection at Barangay Nalsian when a pickup vehicle hits the emergency vehicle. The two vehicles suffered severe damages but no one got injured during the incident.
Luckily, the pregnant woman has been rushed to the hospital and successfully gives birth. The passengers are now in stable and good condition. The two drivers are scheduled to settle the issue.
The police authorities reminded the public to give way to emergency vehicles including ambulance, which serves as a transport vehicle to save lives.
“Ang mga ambulansya natin ay lagging nagra-rush po yan, may mga tinatakbo na pasyente sa ospital give way po tayo like ambulance para maiwasan ang mga aksidente po,” Calasiao Police Station PCR Officer PLT. James Corsino said.
