Did Willie Revillame regret his decision not to renew his contract with GMA?
Rumors surfaced saying that Wowowin host Willie Revillame is now regretting that he left GMA as he decided not to renew his contract to give way to his future stint with billionaire businessman Manny Villar’s media company.
In January of this year, Villar’s Advanced Media Broadcasting System was able to acquire the frequency previously occupied by ABS-CBN. A month after that, Willie shared that he did renew his contract with the Kapuso network because he was already negotiating with Villar, who is also one of his close friends.
Rumor has it that the veteran host will hold an executive position in Villar’s media company. However, just recently, a source of Bilyonaryo claimed that Willie Revillame appeared to be in regret after he left GMA.
It was alleged that the Wowowin host is making ways in order that GMA chairman and CEO Felipe Gozon will take him back. In a recent episode of Willie’s game show that is on the official YouTube channel of the program, he answered this issue.
The veteran host strongly denied that he regrets his decision. He encouraged the public to ignore the “fake news” and that wrong write-ups about him do not affect him anymore.
“Saka huwag niyo ako isusulat sa bilyonaryo, hindi ako bilyonaryo, hindi ako businessman na bilyonaryo, simple lang po ako, masinop lamang ako sa buhay,” he said.
Willie also said that the news outlet’s source should be reliable. “Last week may mga lumalabas sa diyaryo, sa mga bilyonaryo na news diyan. Dapat reliable ang source niyo, kasi napi-fake news kayo,” the game show host stressed.
He also pointed out that whatever article being released by a certain news outlet will be useless because he is not affected by mean tags like ”masama, walanghiya.”
“Basta alam ng Diyos, alam ng aking mga nakakasama kung ano ang pagkatao ko at kung ano ang totoo. Di ba, yun ang importante?” Willie Revillame added.
