Pepe Herrera talks about his project with Piolo Pascual
Actor-comedian Pepe Herrera shared his thoughts on playing the role of the twin brother of A-list actor Piolo Pascual in the sitcom Papa Pi.
In the said new sitcom in the Kapamilya network, Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach is the leading lady. For Pepe, this opportunity is the result of “Divine Intervention.”
Based on the article in Inquirer, this is how the actor-comedian described his role as the twin brother of no other than Piolo Pascual.
With a deadpan expression, Pepe Herrera said, “I actually didn’t prepare for the role. Sumabay lang sa project ang itsura ko.” He also shared that coming from theater, they were trained to portray their roles not being affected by how they look.
“If your character has long hair and yours is currently short, you can always wear a wig. It’s just divine intervention that my hair and Piolo’s are both short at the moment,” he said.
On a more serious tone, Pepe said that he felt excitement being part of the sitcom that started streaming on March 19 on iWantTFC.
He said that he has been anticipating the chance to work with Piolo, as well as with Pia.
Pepe also shared that he and Piolo have the same hobby during the pandemic and it is being “plantitos” and taking care of animals. This is how he became busy during lockdowns.
However, Pepe said that he is still yearning to have his creative outlet. Fortunately, he is able to do this through his new sitcom with Piolo Pascual and Pi’s Wurtzbach.
“This is why, more than ever, I feel energized to get back to work. I’m also curious as to how things will work out between my new coworkers and me,” Pepe Herrera said.
