Are the artists in the Leni-Kiko rally paid to perform? Ogie Diaz slammed the accusations of Elizabeth Oropesa.
OGIE DIAZ – Leni-Kiko supporter Ogie Diaz reacts to the statement of veteran actress Elizabeth, a known supporter of BBM.
Elizabeth ‘La Oro’ Oropesa is a vocal supporter of the candidacy of Bongbong Marcos Jr. The son of the late dictator is running for the highest position in the country and his ultimate rival is Vice President Leni Robredo whose running mate is Senator Kiko Pangilinan.
During the rallies of presidential aspirants, the presence of numerous celebrities is a common thing. This style of campaigning is a political strategy. People believed that performers get a hefty talent fee coming from the politicians but for Leni’s camp, the artists themselves confessed that they are not paid. The celebrities during the rallies have all been saying that they are doing it out of volunteerism and such was declared consistently by them.
But Oropesa did not believe in this. The veteran actress believed that they are paid while she stressed that the artists in BBM’s are the ones who are not paid. She even expressed that she’d have her leg cut if they are paid to support BBM. This is her statement:
“Ipapuputol ko yung dalawa kong paa. Gagapang na lang ako kung binabayaran kaming mga artista kay BBM. Natutuwa ako para doon sa mga artistang kinukuha nila kasi sigurado ako may TF (talent fee) ‘yan. Eh sa atin walang TF. Kusa at dumadating talaga ang mga artista na kahit hindi imbitahan, sila pa ang nagtatanong kung paano sumama.”
But Ogie Diaz lambasted the accusation. He humored and equaled the actress’ statement. He said that he will have his “nota” cut if she will cut her legs. Ogie, in a clap back, said:
“Sabi ni Elizabeth Oropesa, ipapaputol niya ang dalawa niyang paa kung di siya nagsasabi ng totoo na bayad ang mga performers sa Leni-Kiko rally. Ako, papaputol ko ang notes ko kung totoong ipapaputol niya ang mga paa niya.”
