However, a few groups of people have been pushing the tandem of Sara and another presidential aspirant Leni Robredo. They have come from two different political parties. She’s also being paired with Manila Mayor Isko Moreno.

And this Wednesday, through a video message, Sara addressed this topic. And in her video message, she firmly reiterated her choice as to who she would want to lead the country with and that is Marcos, her running mate. She is a woman and a leader “who values commitment and word of honor”, thus, her decision.

Their mission to make the lives of the people to be better and for the country to become stronger aligned the reason why their tandem was created.

She added based on a report from GMA, “Again, I intend to honor the commitment of my parties the Lakas – Christian Muslim Democrats and Hugpong Ng Pagbabago, that is to support Bongbong Marcos as the president. I continue to pray and call on my friends to trust that the UniTeam will serve the country with fairness, love, honor, and dedication, the way patriots should.”

Meanwhile, her father, President Rodrigo Roa Duterte, has 48 days left in the presidency. Before stepping down, he pushed through the giving out of Php 500 per month for a year to poor families in the country because of the rising fuel prices. The proposed amount initially is Php 200 but he later on ordered to raise it to Php 500 because the former amount is too small.
