Netizens Go on FB Live To Seek Help after their Pumpboat Sank
Netizens called for rescue through Facebook live after the pumpboat they were riding from Sagay City, Negros Occidental capsized along Molocaboc Island.
Accidents can happen anywhere. Some can be nature-driven while others are due to certain unexpected circumstances. Such incidents can happen along the road, while at sea, or at the comfort of your own home. Nowadays, when such incidents take place, the social media platform is often one of the fastest means to seek help.
Recently, the social media platform became the medium for several netizens to seek for help after the pumpboat they were aboard from Sagay City capsized during the travel. Through a Facebook Live, a certain netizen with the username Fred Cyril Palabrica sought for rescue while they are trying to stay afloat with the help of the capsized motorboat.
According to Palabrica, they were traveling when a part of the pumpboat broke and it led to the sinking of the water vessel. He expressed that they were a lot of them and some were aboard other pumpboats that already went ahead of them.
The netizen also expressed that they were not able to save any of their things. As seen in the Facebook Live, they were all relying to a part of them pumpboat that sank and they were trying to balance it to avoid it from further sinking.
Several netizens have watched the Facebook Live. According to one of the netizens, the group was from Sagay City. Their pumpboat capsized along Molocaboc Island.
As of this writing, there are still no official updates with regards to the situation of the netizens aboard a pumpboat that sank along Molocaboc Island. More updates may be posted soon.
