Leni-Kiko supporters chanted this Ariana Grande song
Grammy-winning singer Ariana Grande reposted videos of supporters of Vice President Leni Robredo and Senator Kiko Pangilinan singing her song.
Ariana has a huge fandom in the Philippines and her songs have become an inspiration to many Filipino fans, especially to those belonging to the younger generation. Her song Break Free reached a milestone in Philippine politics.
In a recent campaign rally of the Leni-Kiko tandem in Pasig City, the star-studded event was joined by thousands of supporters. People wearing pink shirts covered the street.
Previously, the campaign rally of the Kakampinks in Bacolod City became a trending topic on social media as well. Reports said that the number of supporters who joined the rally reached 70, 000. However, critics of the Vice President contested this.
One of the most memorable moments of that event was the singing of Ariana Grande’s song. Supporters of the VP Leni and Sen Kiko sang together the said hit song and this caught the attention of the international singer.
Ariana reposted the videos on her Instagram story. “I could not believe this was real. I love you more than words,” she wrote in the video that she reposted. Because of this, Ariana became a trending topic on social media in the Philippines.
Meanwhile, this is not the first time an international artist noticed the VP Leni Robredo. Previously, music icon Cher mentioned the Vice President of the Philippines in her tweet. It is because the singer was promoting women’s empowerment on her social media account.
Supporters of the presidential aspirant of the Angat Buhay Lahat commented with the name of the VP Leni. Although Cher admitted that she does not know Robredo, she supports women leaders.
