That was just the start of bashings that she received in connection with her political views. It can be said that she was “cancelled” by many people who are believing the other side.

In a recent campaign event in Las Pinas, once again, Toni Gonzaga was the host. She would also give a song performance in events like this. The actress-host said during her spiel that “sa mga UniTeam supporters, hindi uso sa atin ang cancel culture!”

She said that Filipino culture is the one prevalent in the UniTeam. “Mapagmahal, nagtutulungan, at higit sa lahat, nagkakaisa,” she added.

Toni also said that everyone in UniTeam’s slate is “mapagpakumbaba” or humble and this is the reason why Bongbong Marcos is “lalong tumataas” or continues to go up.

In a recently released survey conducted by Pulse Asia from February 18 to 23, BBM got 60 percent and he was followed by Vice President Leni Robredo with 15 percent. Manila Mayor Isko Moreno got the third spot with 10 percent while Senator Manny Pacquiao has 8 percent and 2 percent for Senator Ping Lacson.

UniTeam’s vice presidential candidate, Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte also topped the recently released Pulse Asia survey. The presidential daughter got 53 percent which is 29 percent higher than Senate President Tito Sotto who got 24 percent. Senator Kiko Pangilinan for 11 percent while Dr. Willie Ong had 6 percent of the survey votes and 1 percent is for Rep. Lito Atienza.
