Imee Marcos Advices BBM Ferdinand “Bongbong Marcos” To Attend Debates

IMEE MARCOS – Senator Imee Marcos advised her brother Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. to attend debates.

Maria Imelda Josefa Remedios “Imee” Romualdez Marcos is the eldest daughter of former president Ferdiand Marcos Sr. and Ilocos Norte Rep. Imelda Marcos. Her brother Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr. is now vying for presidency with his running mate Inday Sara Duterte-Carpio.

Imee has been making rounds online due to her short films directed by Darryl Yap. They said their Kape Chronicles was “not a political content” but several references appeared to be aimed at VP Leni Robredo.

In a previous article, the second episode of Imee Marcos’ Kape Chronicles elicited various reactions from the online community. Some answered the controversial video while some criticized the senator for doing this kind of video.

Speaking of criticism, her brother BBM is also heavily bashed online for refusing to join debates and interviews. Because of that, the #MarcosDuwag hashtag trended on Twitter.

The presidential candidate skipped interviews organized by KBP, Radio DZBB, CNN, and Jessica Soho. However, he attended interviews hosted by Boy Abunda, Korina Sanchez, and AM radio DZRH. He also attended debates organized by Sonshine Media Network International (SMNI).

Based on a report from Inquirer, Imee Marcos advised her brother to attend debates because he’s been getting flak for skipping them. She said a political candidate should be “transparent, accountable, responsible, open, accessible.”

“Answer all their criticism,” the female senator tells BBM.

“After all, we have faced all out cases. We answer all the criticisms. He can easily do that,” she added.

She continued: “So for me, he should go, even if not all of them… If he thinks he would be wasting time because he has a lot of things to do, my advice is: ‘Show up at some of them.”
