Motorcycle Ride-Hailing Firm JoyRide Announces Entry to 4-Wheel Transport Service

The popular motorcycle ride-hailing company JoyRide has entered its entry to the four-wheel transport service.

JoyRide is a ride-hailing company that started in December 2019 offering transportation, deliveries, shopping and other services aside from ride-hailing. It is operating in Metro Manila, Rizal, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Baguio, and Metro Cebu.

On Thursday (March 10, 2022), JoyRide announced that Land Transportation Franchising and Regulatory Board (LTFRB) grant the company a certificate of accreditation to operate as a transport network company.

JoyRide senior vice president for corporate affairs Noli Eala said that the company received the certificate last February 24, 2022. The firm can now provide another option for the commuters.

The company said that customers can already expect an affordable, safe and comfortable car rides amid pump price hike. The ride-hailing firm aims to be highly competitive when it comes to transport service.

“Finally, commuters will now have another choice for safe, comfortable, and affordable car rides to their destination despite the ongoing pandemic and rising fuel prices, JoyRide Car seeks not just to be another player in the market but a viable and highly competitive option in the car-hailing landscape,” Eala said.

The ride-hailing service said that the public should expected heavy vehicular traffic in major roads after the national government downgraded Metro Manila to COVID-19 Alert Level 1.

The JoyRide Car app will be available at the end of March. The new service feature is available in the following area; Metro Manila, Rizal, Cavite, Laguna, Bulacan, and Metro Cebu.

Operators and drivers with existing transport network vehicle service (TNVS) can join JoyRide’s fleet after registration.
