Is there a “bayaran” in campaign rallies of VP Leni Robredo?
Aika Robredo, one of the daughters of Vice President Leni Robredo reacted to the allegation that supporters are being paid to join campaign rallies.
Every election season, the issue of “bayaran” is just one of the controversies being raised against politicians. Allegations surfaced that those who are attending the rallies of VP Leni in different parts of the country are receiving money.
This allegation is also being thrown at the camp of her strong opponent former Senator Bongbong Marcos. Previously, singer Bituin Escalante, one of the avid supporters of the Vice President addressed this allegation.
She said through a video posted on her social media account that they come to rallies without getting paid. Bituin stressed that they voluntarily give their support for the presidential candidacy of VP Leni.
In a recent report from the Philippine Star, the daughter of VP Leni Robredo also addressed this issue. Aika said that her mother told them that if they will pay people just to join their rallies, they are just fooling themselves because they are just inventing the crowd.
“Pero and reality po, ako mismo, witness, lalo na noong magkakasama kami sa Iloilo, parang ang saya-saya ng mga tao. Para siyang masaya at festive na celebration po ng lahat,” the daughter of the Vice President said.
Aside from the “bayaran” issue, the camp of VP Leni is also being criticized for allegedly “doctoring” the number of people who attended their campaign rally a few days ago. The camp of VP Leni Robredo is also being accused of “hakutan”. Allegedly, some rally attendees in Cavite came from other nearby provinces.
