Is it true that Kiko Estrada did not like his role in ‘Darna’?
Rumor has it that Kapamilya actor Kiko Estrada left the Darna series because he allegedly does not want his “small role”.
When the cast members of Darna were introduced, Kiko was included. This project has created so much anticipation from fans. After the long wait, Jane de Leon, the lead actress, along with other cast members, has started filming the series.
However, early this month, rumors surfaced that Kiko was “removed” from the series. Allegedly, the reason behind this was his “pasaway” behavior.
In a recent Showbiz Update vlog of comedian-talent manager Ogie Diaz, he confirmed that Kiko Estrada is indeed no longer part of the Darna series and that he will be replaced by Paolo Gumabao.
Ogie said that this was a blind item before but the name was already revealed. Then, he asked if it is true that the reason why Kiko left the series was that his role was just a small one.
Kiko was supposed to play the role of Narda’s suitor or other love interest of the female lead. Ogie’s co-host Mama Loi’s reaction to this was surprised as the role was almost like a second male lead. “Naliitan pa siya doon?” Mama Loi said.
Ogie said that this is the reason why the production team has been in a frenzy looking for Kiko’s replacement in the series. “Nangarag sila, kaya bigla-bigla na lamang sila naghanap ng kapalit,” Ogie said.
With this, the comedian-talent manager said that there is no such thing as a “small role.” Then, he cited the late actor Eddie Garcia who is not conscious about the “billing” in a certain project.
