Yesterday, former actress and singer Gretchen Barretto turned 52 years old. It has been so long since we last saw her on television. To recall, she lied low on show business when she became Tonyboy Cojuangco‘s partner and most especially when she became a mother to Dominique Cojuangco. It was her partner’s idea to rest and focus on motherhood.
In early 2019, Greta and her youngest sister Optimum Star Claudine Barretto finally reconciled. And now, as her sister Gretchen celebrated her 52nd birthday, the Optimum actress dedicated a sweet message for her. In the post that she dedicated to her eldest sister, advisor, friend, and idol, she expressed how grateful she is for her as a wife, mother, daughter, and friend.
She added, “[May you] continue to allow God to use [you] as an instrument for the many who need & have [none]. [Again,] it’s a privilege to [be] your sister. I love u so much, my Ate.”
Meanwhile, according to a previous article, when it comes to her other sister, Marjorie Barretto, the iconic actress shared that they have not been talking for years now. Also, she has no contact with her kids which saddens her because she believes that children must not be dragged into their issues.
However, last new year, Clau and Marj were spotted at a single party with their other family members and they were civil. Clau is the youngest of the Barrettos.
