STEVEN PRINCE PATRICK FERNANDEZ BIOGRAPHY – Here are some of the things to know about the literature icon.

TIBO is Steven Prince Patrick C. Fernandez. He was born on January 19 in Manila. He is the eldest of the 10 children of Dean Segundo P. Fernandez and Julieta Castillo. In elementary and high school, he studied at UP. He finished a Degree in English at the Mindanao State University Marawi City.

He received a gold medal recognition when he finished his master’s in Philippine Studies majoring in the Humanities (minors in Comparative Literature and Anthropology). In the Philippines, he is the only Doctor of Fine Arts degree graduate.

Fernandez is teaching Research, Publication, Creative Production, and Management of Creative Productions including the development of new programs and courses at the MSU-Iligan Institute Of Technology since June 1977 up until the present. He is also the Artistic Director-Playwright of Integrates Performing Arts Guild (IPAG). He does the management of Creative Productions and resources, development of training programs including formal courses, creation of original works, research, and publication.

He has authored and directed over forty plays and productions. His greatest influence that made him interested in indigenous southern cultures is his exposure to Maranao and Mindanao culture. He founded the Culture and Arts Studies Program of the institution where he’s teaching at. As a professor, he already lectured in various countries such as Sharjah, Shanghai, Bangkok, Singapore, Ho Chi Minh, Yogyakarta, and Taipei.
