The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that the easterlies will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers over some parts of the country.

On Thursday (March 3, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The easterlies will continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

The easterlies will bring partly cloudy to cloudy condition with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over Bicol Region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque and Romblon.

The localized thunderstorms will bring similar weather condition over entire Visayas, Palawan including Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro. Metro Manila and the rest of the country are expected to experience the same weather condition with possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

The weather agency is currently monitoring cloud clusters over the eastern side of the country. The cloud clusters outside the Philippine area of responsibility (PAR) are not yet considered a low pressure area.

“Mayroon tayong cloud clusters na nandito sa eastern side ng ating bansa na nasa labas pa ng PAR. Sa ngayon ay hindi pa naman natin ito kino-consider na isang LPA pero patuloy ang ating pagmomonitor dito sa cloud clusters na ito,” Pagasa weather specialist Samuel Duran said.

Duran also said that no low-pressure area is expected to enter PAR over the next few days.

The coastal water condition over the entire archipelago will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
