Jeepney Driver Got Mauled After Challenging Fellow Driver Into Fistfight
A jeepney driver in Bacolod City has been mauled by fellow drivers and their colleagues after challenging them for a fistfight.
The viral video shows several men beating a jeepney driver at a jeep terminal in Bacolod City, Negros Occidental. The driver who has been identified as Jason Deocadez allegedly challenged his fellow driver into a fistfight.
According to Deocadez, the other driver reportedly cut his lane and ended up having an exchange of heated argument. He challenged the driver into a fistfight but the latter accepted his challenge.
“Hinamon ko siya. Suntukan kami. Sabi iya mamamatay ka rito. ‘Yun pala marami sila,” Deocadez said. The driver expressed his regrets for his irresponsible action and letting his emotions drive him.
The jeepney driver suffered several wounds and injuries due to the incident. Jason will not file a case against the assailants. He also failed to recognize and identify the suspects.
On the other hand, four delivery trucks have been apprehended at Bredco port. The authorities confiscate about 11 tons of dressed chicken from Iloilo and supposed to be delivered to Zamboanga.
The Negros Occidental Provincial Veterinary Inspection Team is implementing a temporary ban on poultry products until March 15 due to the threat of bird flu. Other inspection teams have been deployed in various entry points in the province.
The authorities wanted to ensure that the bird flu will not enter the province after confirmed cases have been recorded in Bulacan and Pampanga.
