Negros Occidental Governor Bong Lacson Supports Vice Pres. Leni Robredo’s Presidential Bid

Negros Occidental Governor Bong Lacson announced his support for the presidential bid of Vice President Leni Robredo.

The upcoming May 2022 Election is currently taking social media by storm. A lot of people are vocal about their bet for the upcoming poll. Currently, the candidates for the national election are busy visiting different cities across the nation to campaign.

The Commission on Elections (Comelec) previously announced that there are 10 presidential candidates for the upcoming poll. One of them and the only female candidate for president is Vice Pres. Leni Robredo.

Vice Pres. Robredo is vocal about her desire to fight corruption in the government. According to her, one of the first things she wants to do if she wins the upcoming election is to release an order for the full disclosure of the government deals.

Vice Pres. Robredo vowed that her administration will not leave behind the smallest and the farthest communities. She wants to expand the programs of the Office of the Vice President so more people can benefit from them.

A lot of groups expressed their support for the Vice President. The framers of the 1987 Philippine Constitution, the Couples for Christ International Council, the Sumilao Farmers, and groups of fishermen, teachers, accountants, doctors, veterinarians, lawyers, and a lot more back her presidential bid.

Recently, based on a report on Sunstar Bacolod, Negros Occidental Governor Eugenio Jose “Bong” Lacson announced his support for the presidential bid of Vice Pres. Leni Robredo. Previously, the two (2) officials have met with the Vice President came to the province after Typhoon Odette brought devastation to several cities in the province.

It is no secret to the public that Negros Occidental Governor Bong Lacson is one of the few local government officials who did not join the campaign rally of presidential aspirant and former Senator Bongbong Marcos in Bacolod City this February. Reportedly, Vice Pres. Leni Robredo will be having her grand rally in Negros and Bacolod this March.
