Bongbong Marcos Camp Reacts To Walden Bello’s Fiery Remark

Here’s what the camp of Bongbong Marcos said about Walden Bello

The camp of presidential aspirant Bongbong Marcos reacted to the fiery remark of vice-presidential aspirant Walden Bello during the CNN Philippines debate.

In the said debate, Bello attacked the absentee, his opponent Davao City Mayor Sara Duterte. The UniTeam’s tandem did not attend the said debate and they were in Pangasinan for a campaign event.

During the debate, Bello called the BBM-Sara tandem “coward”. He also accused the tandem of skipping the debate because they have no program for the country. Bello has done this remark in a feisty manner.

When Mayor Duterte was asked to react to this, she simply said, “no comment.” On February 28, the camp of Bongbong Marcos, through his spokesperson Atty. Vic Rodriguez has reacted to this, based on the report from One News PH.

The lawyer said that Bello, the vice-presidential aspirant who likes debates, has the right to express his personal opinions no matter how nonsense it could be. “Ginagaling namin and kaniyang kalayaan sa pamamahayag at hangad namin na sana ay matagpuan niya ang kapayapaan sa pag-iisip at kababaang-loob upang kilanlin ang pangangailangan ng bansa na pagkakaisa upang tugunan and krisis na kinakaharap ngayon ng sambayanan,” the spokesperson of Marcos said.

In a previous report, Vice President Leni Robredo also criticized Bongbong Marcos for skipping the presidential debate organized by CNN Philippines. She stressed that a leader should be present during “difficult times.” For the presidential aspirant of the Angat Lahat team, this kind of debate could have been a venue for Marcos to present his platform for the country.

To recall, this is not the first time that BBM has declined to join a debate or forum organized for presidential aspirants.
