Iza Calzado shared her memorable acting experience with Cherry Pie Picache
Kapamilya actress Iza Calzado revealed the “kapalpakan” that she did when she did a scene with seasoned actress Cherry Pie Picache.
Iza has proven her acting prowess with various roles that she did in movies and TV shows. Over the years, her fans can attest that acting comes naturally for her. However, she added that there were times that she was not able to deliver what her characters were supposed to do.
During a recent interview on King of Talk Boy Abunda’s YouTube channel, Iza Calzado was asked about the experience she had with a co-actor who was so powerful that she was not able to reciprocate that energy.
Iza admitted that this happened to her a lot and she mentioned that she did scenes with veteran actress Jaclyn Jose and she messed up. Then, she recalled one scene she did with Cherry Pie.
Iza said that she was just at her fourth year in showbiz when this “kapalpakan” happened. “Take one binigay na nung Cherry Pie yung lahat tapos ako ‘yung hindi nakadeliver kasi midway nakaganon lang ako, ‘Oh my God, paano niya ginagawa ‘to. Ang galing, ang husay.’ And it happened to me so many times na I just become so floored like, ‘How is this person doing that?’” she recalled.
She also recalled a scene she did with Tirso Cruz III who was able to deliver the emotions needed even though he was just lying down. When asked about her top three performances, so far, Iza Calzado mentioned Encantadia, the series she did when she was still in GMA, her Kapamilya series A Love To Last, and Ang Sa ‘Yo Ay Akin.
