Wife of Tarlac Rep. Charlie Cojuangco Confirms His Death
CHARLIE COJUANGCO – The wife of the Tarlac 1st District Representative, China Cojuangco, confirmed that he died at 58.
There are popular surnames in multiple fields in the Philippines. One of these last names is the Cojuangco. Their clan is widely known both in the political arena and the business field and several of the family members have held key positions in the biggest businesses in the country.
One of the biggest businesses in the Philippines is San Miguel Corporation. It was led by its late former Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Eduardo “Danding” Cojuangco, for several years. He died in June 2020. He is survived by his wife, Soledad, and their children – Mark, Carlos, Margarita, and Luisa.
Recently, one of the children of the late Danding Cojuangco, Carlos “Charlie” Cojuangco, died at 58 years old. His wife, China Cojuangco, confirmed his passing.
Charlie Cojuangco is survived by his wife, China Jocson-Cojuangco, and their two children, Claudia and Jaime. The wife of the late Tarlac 1st District Representative expressed her gratitude to all who prayed for them amid the difficult times in their lives.
It was only in October 2021 when Cojuangco and Jocson got married. The cause of his death was not mentioned. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, in a separate statement, the Cojuangco family said that they feel at peace knowing that he can rest now.
According to the report, the family announced that a memorial of the life of the late Tarlac 1st District Representative will be held at The Heritage Memorial Park from February 23 to February 25 at 9:00 a.m. to midnight. On Saturday, February 26, the wake will be from 10:00 a.m. to midnight.
Cojuangco was the chairman of the House Committee on Flagship Programs and Projects. He was the vice-chairman of the Committee on Appropriations and a member of the House Panels on Bases Conversion, Information and Communication Technology, Public Works and Highways and Transportation, and Inter-Parliamentary Relations and Diplomacy.
