A legal battle is set to happen between Cristy Fermin and the lawyer of Dawn Chang
The legal counsel of veteran showbiz writer Cristy Fermin is preparing for a legal battle against Atty. Rafael Vincent R. Calinisan, the lawyer of former Pinoy Big Brother housemate Dawn Chang.
The issue between Cristy and Dawn when the former fired back at the latter’s criticisms against actress-host Toni Gonzaga. Cristy accused Dawn of “nakipaglandian sa mga boss” for the sake of her career.
Because of that fiery statement from the veteran showbiz writer, she was demanded by Dawn’s lawyer to issue an apology. Atty. Ferdinand Topacio, the lawyer of Cristy Fermin answered this demand from the camp of Dawn.
Cristy’s lawyer demanded Dawn’s lawyer to issue an apology as well and it is because Atty. Calinisan’s “duwag” and “sinungaling” remarks against the showbiz writer.
Both camp demanded that the apology should be issued on February 16 but no one apologized when that day came. In a recent article in PEP, it was said that the camp of the showbiz writer is already preparing to bring this issue to the court.
“We’re now laying the groundwork for filing next week,” Atty. Topacio said. PEP columnist Jojo Gabinete said that the lawyer of Cristy said that there is something “kaabang-abang” as they are preparing a “surprise” for Dawn Chang and everyone who are following this issue.
Meanwhile, Cristy Fermin’s colleague and close friend, Lolit Solis, defended her on this issue. Manay Lolit shared her fiery words against Dawn. She said that the former PBB housemate has no right to demand an apology from Cristy. “The nerve baguhan ka magde-demand ka sa akin ng apology? The who!? Sino ka?” Lolit said.
