Crypto Wallet of Gerald Anderson Ransacked After Victimized by Basag-Kotse Gang

The Basag-Kotse gang who victimized the SUV of Gerald Anderson did not miss the Crypto wallet of the actor and cleared the remaining money.

Gerald Anderson has discovered the importance of not leaving valuables in the car. On January 31, 2022, his car was wrecked, looted, then robbed again. In addition to stealing pricey and precious stuff, the suspects allegedly took PHP50,000 from his cryptocurrency wallet.

Gerald’s SUV was parked in front of his gym on Roces Avenue in Quezon City when two motorbikes pulled up alongside it. Backriding on a motorbike, the guy jumped down and stole a car by breaking the glass.

All of the incidents were captured on video. On Monday, February 14, 2022, the three suspects surrendered to the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) and the Philippine National Police (PNP), according to the report.

The suspects claimed that the automobile did not belong to Gerald. When they examined the stolen IDs, they discovered the truth. Gerald was also interviewed in connection with the event, according to the report.

Gerald said that he was aware that he had left some things in the car. He said that he had just returned home to Manila that day, and that his car was parked just in front of the entrance where he entered.

Gerald glanced over the stolen belongings, which included IDs, passports, devices, and computers. Gerald is said to have viewed the CCTV footage of his car being robbed.

“In awareness, para sa lahat ng tao, huwag talagang mag-iwan ng bag sa loob ng kotse niyo.” Gerald said. One of the suspects acknowledged to stealing PHP50,000 from Gerald after accessing the actor’s private email, according to a newspaper.

According to the suspect’s story, he used the stolen laptop to access Gerald’s email account. The suspect gained access to the actor’s digital wallet and transferred PHP50,000 to it.

The NBI Special Action Unit (NBI-SAU) was able to track down two stolen motorbikes throughout their investigation. The motors were discovered in a basag-kotse tribe located in Tondo.

Gerald has recovered his branded backpack, two watches, and many gadgets, but not his wallet, identification cards, or passport. Gerald appreciates the police’ assistance in locating the theft perpetrators.
