DUTERTE – Philippine President Rodrigo Roa Duterte revealed that he is starting to pack up his things as he is ready to leave Malacañang soon.

The May 2022 Election is fast approaching and the Republic of the Philippines will soon welcome another president to lead the country. Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte will be stepping down after six years of serving as the nation’s chief executive.

The current administration focused on the war against illegal drugs and in fighting corruption in the government. The two (2) were the staunch campaign promises of the former Davao City Mayor when he was running for the presidency.

Under the current administration, several government officials were told to resign or were sacked amid corruption issues. Many individuals linked to drugs were also arrested.

After six (6) years of leading the country against the biggest national concerns and problems including the COVID-19 pandemic that is going on for more than two (2) years now, Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte expressed that he is ready to experience being the outgoing president of the country.

Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, Pres. Rodrigo Roa Duterte said that he is already packing up his things and has started sending some via boat home.

“Nag-iimpake na nga ako eh. ‘Yung iba ipinadala ko na, ‘yung madala sa barko, binarko ko. You know the small things, ‘yung mga tokens, ‘yung mga bronze, ‘yun ang inuna ko,” he said.

According to the report, Pres. Duterte who has a little over three (3) months now left for his term as the chief executive said that he awaits the day of the turnover and experience the feeling of being the outgoing president. He expressed that he will be the one to meet the new president and talk.

The 76-year-old President said that he will move out of his office in Malacañang by March or April and he will just come back daily for work.
