A police poseur buyer nabbed the culprit with a packet of shabu, according to PMajor Fortune Dianne Bernardo’s report. It was reported that a purchase raid was conducted out against Viñas, the drug suspect, on Thursday morning.

Vias was reportedly driving an SUV with the number OW 7007 on the registration plate. The SUV was reportedly registered in the office of Santa Rosa Vice Mayor Marie Evangelista, according to the police report.

The arrested person was apparently working for the vice mayor’s father, a former barangay captain in the town, according to preliminary information. Meanwhile, an investigation in San Mateo, Rizal uncovered up to P7.4 million worth of suspected shabu hidden in tea packing.

A buy-bust operation was performed by the Rizal PPO and San Mateo Police at a cemetery on Kambal Road, Barangay Guitnang Bayan 2 in San Mateo Rizal. Three drug couriers were caught with more than a kilo of suspected shabu on their motorcycles.

The objective, on the other hand, did not appear in the operation. The suspects’ boss is in New Bilibid Prison, according to Rizal PPO regional director Police Col. Dominic Baccay, and they reportedly only talked to him over the phone.

So far, investigators are looking into the source of illicit drug supply, which, according to the suspects, is based in Pasig. The three are accused with breaking the Controlled Dangerous Substances Act.
