Siblings Arrested After Punching Stomach of Pregnant Woman in Naga City

Police authorities arrested siblings after that was caught punching the stomach of an alleged pregnant woman in Naga City.

According to a GMA News report, a man was detained after punching a pregnant neighbor in the stomach over a joke in Barangay Calauag, Naga City. In contrast, his sibling was detained for allegedly kicking the victim’s one-year-old son.

According to the authorities, the pregnant mother and her infant were injured as a result of the neighbor’s assault. Earlier, the pregnant woman’s father allegedly made a joke, which enraged the suspect.

The defendant came to the victims’ home with his brother and struck the pregnant mother in the belly. According to the victim’s statement, the brother trod on the kid of the pregnant wife.

“‘Yung pagsuntok po sa’kin, hindi po ako makagalaw, kasi masakit po. Sinuntok po ako sa tiyan,” said Jemma, the victim.

The victim is preparing to file a criminal complaint against the perpetrators, who are now being held in police custody. The suspects would first refuse to accept the crime, according to Police Major Miguel Nool III, station commander of Naga City Police Office Station 3.

However, while the authorities were examining this woman for medical care, they discovered that she had abrasions in her abdomen. The accused were shown the results, which prompted them to recognize their errors and apologize.

“Noong una ayaw nilang umamin na ginawa nila ‘yung krimen, ‘yung panununtok doon sa tiyan ng buntis. Pero nang malaman noong pina-medical na natin itong babae, nagkaroon nga siya ng abrasions saka tama talaga roon sa may tiyan, saka siya humihingi ng tawad,” said Nool.
