South Korean dramas have definitely got many Filipino hooked. Apart from the beautiful faces of the artists, Pinoys are also engrossed in the story, characters, and the lessons that these stories relay. K-dramas are addicting to watch and amazing considering the interesting storylines and intense plot twists. In the bigger picture, K-dramas make a huge cultural impact.
It can bring you “kilig” from one episode to another then all of a sudden, a big part of it will make you cry and this is one of the things that keeps viewers coming back for more. Among the most famous South Korean series Pinoys have loved include Crash Landing On You, Squid Game, Goblin (Guardian: The Lonely and Great God), Vincenzo, The Penthouse, The Uncanny Counter, Start-Up, Hometown Cha Cha Cha, and many more.
And among them is the series ‘It’s Okay to Not Be Okay’ which starred Kim Soo-Hyun as Moon Kang-Tae, Seo Yea-Ji as Ko Moon-Young, and Oh Jung-Se as Moon Sang-Tae. It is a dark and mystery drama and viewers just loved how the actors perfectly portrayed their roles. Also, mental health was discussed in the story – a very sensitive issue to talk about nowadays.
And now, there have been rumors about this K-drama to have a Philippine adaptation, and the main characters are said to be played Kapamilya stars Liza Soberano and Enrique Gil. They are collectively called “LizQuen”. LizQuen is one of the prized love teams of ABS-CBN. Also, they are together as a couple in real life.
