Norberto Gonzales Seeks Presidency to Correct Marcos Historical Revisionism
Presidential aspirant Norberto Gonzales vows to correct the historical revisionism of late president Ferdinand Marcos if he wins the 2022 elections.
One of the presidential candidates for the 2022 elections is the former National Security Adviser. Gonzales pledged to overhaul the Philippines’ agriculture policy and remind people of what occurred during the late dictator Ferdinand Marcos’ administration.
According to Gonzales, this year’s election has become “more crucial” since there appear to be efforts to restore the Marcos family to power. The former defense chief is a member of the Cory Aquino administration’s peace negotiation group.
Gonzales lacks the apparatus to compete and admitted that he “cannot match” Former Senator Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., the frontrunner. Attempts to bury martial law crimes, on the other hand, may be addressed by providing more knowledge about what happened under the regime, he added.
