MSSD BARMM Maguindanao Gives P100k Cash Gift to 27 Centenarians

MSSD BARMM Maguindanao distributes Cash Centenarian Gift worth P100, 000 to at least 27 centenarians in the province.

Last week, the Ministry of Social Services and Development and the local government unit in the province give the cash gift for 27 centenarians. The amount will be a great help for the elderly people.

The MSSD explained that the centenarians can use cash gift to support their daily necessities such as food and medicines. The beneficiaries and the family have expressed their gratefulness to the government for the cash reward.

Lola Vicenta and Lola Umbai were some of the beneficiaries who received a cash gift from the government. The two expressed their thankfulness to the government for the benefits.

“Unang una, nagpapasalamat kami sa buong may kapal dahil ang aming ina ay nakaabot pa sa ganitong edad, pangalawa kay nagpapasalamat kami sa MSSD Barmm dahil malaking bagay itong 100,000.00 upang makatulong sa aking ina para maibili ng mga pangunahing pangangailangan niya at maalagaan namin siya ng buo” Lola Vicente’s child said.

The beneficiaries were very happy to receive the cash gift together with additional amount, which were given by the government as cash assistance for the elderlies. The MSSD Social Pension Program Staff will continue to validate and monitor other centenarians in the province.

The cash assistance for centenarians is a mandate under the Republic Act 10868 or Centenarian Gift Law of 2016. It is a law that provide benefits for all the Filipino centenarians in the country.
