Lacson Refute Leni Robredo Response on Boy Abunda’s Presidential Interview

Presidential aspirant and Senator Panfilo “Ping” Lacson refuted the claims of VP Leni Robredo when asked why people should not vote for him.

Senator Lacson reacts to Robredo’s claim that he talks too much but doesn’t do enough “on the ground” work as a reason why voters should reject him as the country’s next leader. When asked why voters should not vote for her opponents, Robredo said this in an interview with Boy Abunda.

Lacson reacted to Twitter after Robredo’s presidential interview with the King of Talk to refute Robredo’s comments, claiming it was not in his character to improperly show off (be “epal”) when he hands out support during times of calamity or when he assists individuals.

“Hindi ako kulang sa ‘on the ground’. Hindi lang talaga ako ma-epal tuwing magbibigay ng tulong sa mga kalamidad man o sa mga indibidwal na tulong,” Lacson said.

Prior to Vice President Robredo’s interview, two presidential aspirants, Sam Lacson and Ferdinand “Bongbong” Marcos Jr., declined to respond to the question. “Dahil tumatakbo ako,” Lacson said, while Marcos Jr. stated he is hesitant to “indulge to negative campaigning”.

Robredo, on the other hand, gives her honest view in response to the issue about political bluster. Robredo on Marcos Jr, she said “number one, sinugaling; pangalawa, in the difficult moments hindi siya nagpapakita.”

Robredo to Manila Mayor Francisco “Isko” Moreno: “hindi klaso ‘yung paninindigan sa maraming bagay”; Robredo to Manny Pacquio: “Ito malungkot ito, Boy, pero yung kabutihan ng loob kasi sa atin, hindi sapat.”

Meanwhile, on the question “Bakit ikaw ang dapat iboto?” she confidently said “Ako, Boy, pinakita ko nitong krisis na ito, and many other crises in the past, na ang mga babaeng leader nagsha-shine during crisis. And pinakita ko iyan sa maraming trabaho namin dito sa OVP (Office of the Vice President), marami kaming krisis na nalagpasan with flying colors.”
