Former Channel Frequency of ABS-CBN Now Owned by Apollo Quiboloy

Kingdom of Jesus Christ Pastor Apollo Quiboloy takes over and now owned the former channel frequency of ABS-CBN Corp.

The National Telecommunications Commission (NTC) has given Sonshine Media Network International a frequency that was formerly utilized by ABS-CBN (SMNI). Quiboloy, the anointed son of God and creator of the Kingdom of Jesus Christ, owns SMNI.

“Yes, ch43 ang binigay,” SMNI president Dr. Marlon Rosete stated in an ABS-CBN text message. Amcara Broadcasting Corporation was the first to receive Channel 43, which SMNI acquired.

ABS-CBN used Channel 43 for its TVPlus stations as part of the block time arrangement with Amcara. SMNI is also the current owner of UHF Channel 40. It will be noted that the House rejected ABS-request CBN’s for a new franchise in 2020.

Meanwhile, the media company run by billionaire Manny Villar, Advanced Media Broadcasting System Inc, has bought two ABS-CBN Corp frequencies. ABS-CBN Sports and Action Channel 2 and ABS-CBN Sports and Action Channel 16 were decommissioned in 2020 after being rejected by a parliamentary committee.

The NTC has granted the firm preliminary permission to use two well-known frequencies, according to the magazine. Villar’s company has the power to build equipment like a tower transmitter so that the broadcast test on Channels 2 and 16 may commence.

The Advanced Media Broadcasting System (AMBC) will begin broadcasting at 7:00 a.m. till 10 p.m. with permission for test broadcast at Villar’s Starmall skyscraper in Mandaluyong City Advanced Media was also granted provisional authorization by the NTC for a digital TV broadcasting system utilizing a frequency previously held by ABS-CBN.
