Venus Raj reacted to the critics of what she revealed on ‘Toni Talks’
Miss Universe 2010 fourth runner-up Venus Raj slammed the bashers of her recent interview on Toni Talks, the YouTube talk show of actress-host Toni Gonzaga.
Venus shared glimpses of her life before the pageant that change her life and the journey she took to fill the void within her. During the interview, her answer to the final Miss Universe question was recalled.
It was about the big mistake that she has done in her life. Back then, Venus said that there was no “major, major mistake” that she did in her 22 years of existence. Now that she is 33 years, Toni Gonzaga once again asked her.
Venus Raj admitted that she did a major mistake in her life when she was young and it has compromised her purity. She was talking about having a boyfriend at the age of 16 and the guy was already 28 years old.
Because of that, she was introduced to things that should not be introduced to. Although she received admiration from many people for opening up this personal thing about her, there were still those who chose to criticize her.
In her recent Instagram post, the former beauty queen shared a screenshot of a netizen’s comment defending Venus against the bashers. “Wow, most of the comments are really blaming a then 16 YEAR OLD Venus Raj for not being responsible? Really? The blame should be on the 28-yo guy. He’s the adult, he knows and should know better,” the netizen said.
Venus said that indeed people have different perspectives but she stressed that she does not want to change whatever she said during the interview. She also shared some pointers to inspire her fellow women.
The former beauty queen also encouraged people to not let others define who they really are. “My life is a testimony of second chances, forgiveness, and grace. A broken vessel fixed by the Master Potter. It took a lot to muster my courage to share this to you. My main reason is to glorify the One I serve,” Venus Raj said.
