For Alden Richards, this activity feeds his soul
Kapuso multimedia star Alden Richards shared that having a scholarship program is his “food for the soul.”
Alden, in his first decade in the entertainment industry, has proven his versatility. Aside from acting in various projects, he also excelled in hosting and music. Through his upcoming documentary concert ForwARd: Meet Richard R. Faulkerson Jr., Alden will show the other side of himself that might be unknown to many people.
Within the span of more than 10 years, Alden Richards has already done many projects and he is doing something for himself in order to avoid burnout. Based on the article in Inquirer, during a recent interview, the Kapuso star shared that his charitable endeavor is one of the reasons why he continues.
“It’s my food for the soul. Sometimes, in life, when you do the same things over and over again, burnout is always there. To get rid of that burnout, I find scholars or extend help to different foundations,” he said.
This is one of the things that Alden is not doing publicly. He said that the scholar had no idea that he is the one sending them to school. The actor is just asking other people to help him with this. “All I get are photos of them. They don’t know it’s me. That’s how I have been doing it the past couple of years,” he shared.
Alden Richards was already able to sponsor 14 students since the time he started his charity work. Two of these scholars already graduated from college with degrees in information technology and electrical energy.
The Kapuso star shared that there was a time when he didn’t have an idea about the number of students he was sponsoring. He shared that usually, after a payday, he would look for new ones to help.
Now, Alden has established the AR Foundation and with this, he hopes he can help more people.
